SUMMARY:Fly Tying Night with Patrick Murphy
DESCRIPTION:Fly Tying Night (Tuesday Sept.19) is going to be a little different from our normal session where Patrick chooses a fly to teach to everyone.  For this session\, you are asked to bring your vise and tools as usual\, but also bring your hooks and materials to tie a fly of your choosing in one of these categories: \n\n\n\n  Baitfish Pattern \n\n\n\n   Shrimp Pattern \n\n\n\n   Top Water Pattern \n\n\n\nAfter you have completed your fly\, Patrick will judge them and award a prize for first place in each of the above categories.  \n\n\n\nAlso\, please be aware that Kay’s BBQ has changed their closing time (for the month of September only)  from 8:30 to 8:00 PM..  Come earlier than usual\, if possible\, for dinner so that we can begin tying around 6:45 PM.and finish by 8:00 PM.

Lambert’s presentation includes stunning photography\, humor\, safety tips\, approach\, stealth\, wind\, tides\, and\, if time allows\, short-cast techniques with some line management tossed in.North Florida native David Lambert is editor of On Water Journal. He is a master casting instructor\, an outdoor writer\, a TFO and Patagonia pro staffer\, and author of Smart Casts: The New Approach to Fly Casting & Practice. Lambert was 2002 SEC-FFF Man of The Year and was Co-Youth Chair for the SEC for 10 years. He splits his fishing time between North Florida’s salt and its spring rivers.
