Captain Leiza grew up in Key West and in the woods of Moss Bluff, Florida. Her passion for fishing, hunting and conservation was learned from her father. A degree in Marketing has allowed Leiza to combine her passions with work for over 25 years in the outdoor industry before joining Coastal Conservation Association in 2014 as the Director of STAR, CCA’s highest profile event and Florida’s largest fishing competition. Her career with CCA allows Leiza to promote the conservation of our marine resources and being good stewards of those resources while still giving her a little time to combine her skills of hunting with fishing so that she may stalk the flats, oyster bars or any body of saltwater to sight cast whatever species of fish is biting and still call it work.
Jon Cave will provide the program for the evening. he will also arrive early to assist a limited number of members in the parking lot with their casting prior to the 6:00 dinner hour.

International locations. Jon’s credentials include an M.S. Degree in Natural Resources with special concentration in fisheries. He is a member of the Team Sage Advisory Staff, Rio Advisory Staff & Team Tibor.

General club meeting for all members and anyone interested in joining. Come early @ 6:00 pm and enjoy dinner with us!
Guest speakers will be our very own: Joe Sherer and Steve Lo.
Joe and Steve recently spent a couple of weeks touring the wilds of Alaska, camping and fishing. If we know anything about these two it is that they probably spent 16 18 hours a day fishing (and they have the picture s to prove it). Come and enjoy hearing the tales and maybe get inspired to join them on their next adventure.
The featured speaker on July 27th is local guide and IRL advocate, Rick Worman. He was one of our most
popular speakers in the past and he will not disappoint us on the 27th. Expect a wealth of information from a
charismatic speaker. Trust me, if you want to know what is happening as far as fishing is concerned in the IRL, Rick is the best source to consult.
When we meet on June 22, 2021 at Kay’s BBQ we will spread out and, if
you want to, mask up. Most of us are vaccinated and ready to see familiar faces
but if you are more comfortable wearing a mask feel free to do so. We will also
distance ourselves by only using one side of a table and skipping seats unless you
are vaccinated and want to sit next to a friend or family member.
We are going to open up the
floor to all members to talk about fishing and programs you would like to have
during the second half of 2021.
